Job Description

The Fire Sprinkler Installation Estimator will work primarily with engineers, architects, and construction professionals to provide detailed estimates to customers. We now specialize in sprinkler system testing, repair and installation, kitchen and restaurant systems, fire alarm design, installation and service, backflow prevention devices, full service alarm monitoring, fire pump repair and installation, and underground hydrant repairs and installation, among the many services we offer.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with the sales and estimating components for sprinkler service jobs
  • Coordinator sprinkler service jobs with Sprinkler Install Manager, as necessary
  • Complete jobsite surveys and assessments
  • Meeting with clients to discuss their fire safety needs and provide them with detailed estimates
  • Read and comprehend plans and specifications
  • Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other construction professionals to determine the best fire safety solutions for each project
  • Preparing and submitting accurate and competitive bids for fire sprinkler systems
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, including design, materials, fabrication, equipment, permits, subcontracts, consulting fees, and installation labor for fire sprinkler systems for construction projects
  • Analyze project requirements
  • Re-evaluating estimates and costs as project details change
  • Forward awarded bids to the appropriate contacts for scheduling purposes
  • Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the availability of materials and resources
  • Remain current with the latest fire safety regulations and technology
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required
  • Providing technical support to the project team during the construction phase
  • Participating in project meetings and providing updates on the status of the fire sprinkler system installation

What You’ll Bring

  • Valid driver’s license
  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • 3+ years prior work experience in the fire sprinkler industry
  • Able to work flexible hours including on-call rotation, nights, and weekends to meet customer needs
  • Able to carry and move tools and equipment up to 70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions – climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • Able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders/ stairs multiple times a day

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to work independently, with little supervision
  • Works effectively and efficiently while performing all aspects of the required job
